WMNS Racing Collaborative Inc. has been fortunate to receive a Sport and Recreation Victoria grant for access and community engagement.

We will be using this grant to provide free educational clinics for our amazing cycling community.

You do not need to be a Summer Spritz participant to attend, but we hope these clinics help build the confidence to one day race with us, or continue developing your racing skills during our events.

clinic #1: CORNERING FUNDAMENTALs

Brought to you by:

Baseline is a cycling focused physiotherapy, bike fitting, and skills education platform based in Melbourne.

It supports riders through physiotherapy care, professional bike fitting, strength training, and on-bike skills coaching. The aim is to help cyclists move better, ride with confidence, and reduce injury risk by looking at the full system rather than isolated problems.

Baseline works with beginners through to experienced riders and racers, offering evidence based physio, practical bike setup, and skills sessions that translate directly to real riding. The focus is on clarity, confidence, and long term development on and off the bike.

The Summer Spritz x Baseline Cornering Clinic brought together 20 women for a focused, on-road skills session built around speed, precision, and flow.

Designed for experienced riders and racers, the clinic broke down the advanced cornering techniques used in criteriums and racing, with a strong emphasis on line choice, body position, braking, and pressure through the bike.

Riders received real-time, on-road feedback to refine feel and decision making through corners. The outcome was clear gains in cornering speed and control, better understanding of how to choose and hold a fast, safe line, more confidence managing braking and exits, and greater consistency for racing, descents, and high-speed group riding.

Let’s Talk about: Bike Fit

Brought to you by:

26 February | 6–8pm | MAAP Lab Melbourne

Bike fit is not about chasing numbers. It is about understanding how your body interacts with your bike.

Join Gemma from Baseline and Lachy from SRAM for an interactive evening breaking down the key touchpoints of bike fitting. You will learn how to measure your own bike correctly, understand common setup errors, and make small adjustments that can change how your bike feels.

We will cover:

• How to measure your bike using fixed reference points
• Common setup errors and what they feel like
• Cleat position, Q factor and crank length
• Saddle height and fore/aft balance
• Bar width, hood position and brake lever reach

SRAM will have Force E1 and Rival E1 levers, multiple crank lengths, and TIME Xpro pedals available so you can see how different setups influence feel and control. A Specialized Aethos equipped with SRAM Force AXS will be set up on a trainer for live demonstrations.

Each attendee will receive a Baseline Bike Fit Passport, notebook and pen.

The night will begin with pizza and drinks from 6:00pm, with the education session running from 6:30–8:00pm and dedicated Q and A time at the end.

This session is for riders who want to feel more confident, more comfortable, and more in control on their bike.
